Truckee

The mountain Town of Truckee is rich in history and has a strong sense of community. It is composed of a charming downtown and a variety of surrounding subdivisions and neighborhoods. The residential areas making up Truckee include Martis Camp, Lahontan, Old Greenwood, Grays Crossing, Schaffer's Mill, Tahoe Donner, Glenshire, Sierra Meadows, Prosser Creek and Donner Lake, to name a few.

Just north of Lake Tahoe, the historic downtown is home to many fine eateries and local shops. With the train station centrally located, the sounds of trains is part of Truckee's history and character.  Truckee also features a community airport for allowing convenient travel plans for those who fly. 

Several nearby mountain lakes add to the activities in the Truckee area such as boating, swimming, fishing and camping. In addition, there is a large collection of golf courses throughout the area. Truckee certainly offers a year-round mountain lifestyle for locals, homeowners and visitors.
