Alpine Meadows

Alpine Meadows is a delightful residential community located about four miles west of Lake Tahoe featuring the Alpine Base of world renown Palisades Tahoe Ski Area.  Before uniting to form the largest California Ski Resort, Alpine Meadows was an independent ski area which opened in 1961.  Its founders were focused on the pleasure of skiing and envisioned the potential of the terrain.  Today the Base-to-Base Gondola connects the skiable acres of the two valleys comprising Palisades Tahoe.

The residential homes are situated on a network of streets that wind their way up the valley, some tucked against the hillside, others with frontage along Bear Creek, a tributary of the Truckee River.  In addition, there are several condominium complexes within Alpine Meadows, some near the entrance of the valley with easy access to Highway 89 and others up by the ski resort.   For years, people have been charmed by the mountain magic of Alpine Meadows living.

Alpine Springs Community Park is an added summer bonus for Alpine Meadows residents, offering a spring fed swimming pond, large grassy field and two tennis courts, right within the neighborhood.  Seasonal passes are available for Alpine Meadows residents and non-residents.
